Senior Application Developer

Amyx is seeking to hire a Senior Application Developer (Senior Application Programmer) to support our DLA Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment Common Operation Environment remotely. 


Daily Tasks:

  • Responsible implementing the MVC Development Methodology (Model/View/Controller)
  • Responsible with developing and managing data models with CA Erwin or similar architecture or business process modeling tool
  • Responsible designing and developing solutions with Java Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE) in an Agile Software Development environment
  • Responsible designing and developing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) with Representation State Transfer (REST), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), and JavaScript Object Notation (JSON)
  • Responsible developing solutions using Message Services, including management of Apache ActiveMQ
  • Responsible developing applications with responsive web design frameworks to support multiple platforms including compatibility with Chrome, Internet Explorer, Java, and iOS
  • Responsible with W3C web design standards and technologies, including CSS, HTML 5, JavaScript
  • Responsible with all aspects of configuration management planning including configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, configuration audits, configuration documentation

  • DevOps pipeline tools (e.g. JIRA)


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
  • ElasticSearch Engineer I certification
  • AWS Certified Developer Associate
  • Oracle Databases experience
  • Experience with DevOps pipeline tools including configuration management, requirements (e.g. JIRA), automated testing, and deployment
  • Technical proficiency with developing database queries, batch jobs, and stored procedures with PL/SQL and NoSQL
