Overview

Amyx, Inc. is seeking to hire an Information Assurance Specialist, to be located in Philadelphia, PA at the client location. 

 

The candidate shall support an Information Assurance (IA) program for local applications. This includes, but not limited to, information security, privacy, information assurance, assembly and integration, cross discipline functions, data engineering, industry expertise, knowledge engineering, legacy evolution, and system infrastructure.

 

The candidate shall collaborate with HQ Information Security System Manager (ISSM) in the review, application, and maintenance of IA policies and procedures; review and maintain certification plans and accreditation documentation; perform security analyses and risk/vulnerability assessments; coordinate certification and accreditation activities for project teams; evaluate information assurance technologies for application to projects and systems; support security engineering; work with IA working groups and planning teams; locally manage long-term IA projects and interface with senior management; give clear and concise guidance to customers, teams, and management; interpret reasonable network-type diagrams/drawings and data flow; coordinate information assurance management with the DLA's J-6 office; develop and provide technical advice to support the information assurance components of the DMLSS-W effort; enforce IA and security standards and procedures for audit readiness compliance; monitor and ensure resolutions of performance issues. A signed DD254 form "Department of Defense Contract Security Classification Specification" will accompany this award for use by IA resources to hold an active Secret clearance. This Secret clearance should also be accompanied with an IT level of DLA IT-2. All Information Assurance resources proposed are required to be IAM-3 certified as per DoD 8570.01-M.

 

Minimum Experience:

  • Five (5) years relevant experience

Responsibilities

The Information Assurance primary job responsibilities will include:

  • Operate within the Software Development Life Cycle methodology used by the organization
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Support Information Assurance (IA) program for local DMLSS-W applications. This includes information security, privacy, information assurance, assembly and integration, cross discipline functions, data engineering, industry expertise, knowledge engineering, legacy evolution, and system infrastructure.
  • Experienced with Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT) and familiar with DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP).
  • Experience with DOD Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Developer background to review and make determinations for findings in the Application Security and Development Security Technical Implementation Guide (ASD STIG).  Supported Technologies: Microsoft C# .NET Asp.Net forms based development and Microsoft ASP.NET MVC framework.
  • Vulnerability scanning, e.g., Fortify
  • Ensure that the architecture and design of DoD information systems are functional and secure

  • Provide clear and concise guidance to customers, teams, and management; interpret reasonable network-type diagrams/drawings and data flow.
  • Coordinate information assurance management with the DLA's J-6 office.
  • Develop and provide technical advice to support the information assurance components of the DMLSS-W effort.
  • Enforce IA and security standards and procedures for audit readiness compliance.
  • Experience with cybersecurity and IT systems and tools administration and maintenance.

Qualifications

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • By Contract, IA resource must hold an active Secret clearance. This Secret clearance should also be accompanied with an IT level of DLA IT-2.
  • By Contract, IA resource are required to be IAM-3 certified as per DoD 8570.01-M.  The IAM Level 3 certifications are:  GSLC, CISM or CISSP.

Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
