Overview

Amyx is seeking to hire a Strategic Communications Manager to support our HQ Department of the Army Deputy Chief of Staff G6 (DCS - G6) StratComm SIG contract in the NCR area.

Responsibilities

- Develop communications strategies, plans and messaging frameworks around existing information platforms and data
- Create an implementation plan highlighting key engagements and effects needed to communicate effectively
- Communicate G-6 leaderships’ strategic vision, direction, roles, capabilities, and expectations, internally and externally, by developing a comprehensive proactive    plan for engagements and social media
- Assist in synchronizing strategic messaging across the broad Signal and Cyber community by participating in coordination meetings and work groups with              external agencies communication planners as well as project leads within the G-6
- Leverage external and internal media and venues to educate and inform stakeholders and audiences about G-6 initiatives to advance overall goals
- Provide public affairs guidance to senior Army G-6 personnel
- Ensure G-6 public communication is aligned with Army and DOD messaging and goals by coordinating with Army Staff, Army Office of the Chief of Public Affairs      (OCPA), and other Army and DOD agencies
- Conduct research and analysis in support of G-6 missions and priorities
- Collect, clean, and code data (based on agreed upon qualifiers) on a weekly basis to drive analysis and assessment
- Conduct quality assurance & control for digital/social media content and ensure that content is accurate, up-to-date, and promotes the success of both the G-6      organizations, providing awareness of, and connectedness to, emerging technology and industry
- Prepare responses to queries concerning the public websites and social media posts
- Develop, coordinate and staff speeches and other prepared remarks and talking points for interviews with media and for other speaking engagements
- Attend a variety of meetings on a weekly or as needed basis
- Assist in periodically developing short videos to communicate key messages in support of G-6 visions, missions and initiatives

Qualifications

   Senior-level experience in top-level messaging, support to senior leadership and crisis communications
- At least three (3) years of higher headquarters strategic planning experience, preferably in the Army or another DOD component
- Possesses the ability to research, coordinate, develop, edit, and prepare briefings, articles, speeches, talking points, handouts, or other materials that provide        internal and external outreach in terms of G-6 roles and responsibilities
- Ability to interpret, and synthesize data on market conditions, media profiles, business opportunities and global trends, and present comprehensive research          reports
- Video design and planning support with a background in writing, sourcing, producing and editing short, high quality videos
- Communications planning support experience
- Background in writing and communications planning, with an emphasis on communications campaign development, product integration, writing, communications    coordination, stakeholder communications, messaging, outreach and execution
- Experience coordinating media interviews and training

Physical Demands

Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
