Overview

Amyx is seeking to hire a Cloud Architect. This role is responsible for leading all cloud planning, migration and MEDCHART system enhancements. As a Cloud Architect you will be responsible in revolutionizing  the cloud infrastructure of the US Army's MEDCHART system, driving innovation and efficiency in healthcare IT.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the team planning, configuring, migration and enhancing the MEDCHART system in the Government selected Cloud hosting facility.
  • Develop and execute a Government approved plan and schedule to move the MEDCHART system to an DoD evnironment
  • Support and modernize the MEDCHART system in the selected cloud hosting facility to reduce the MEDCHART attack surface, utilize new offerings to deliver system capabilities to end users and cut cloud costs
  • Complete Information Assurance plans and packages necessary for the new facility following the RMF framework.
  • Implement application security as it pertains to MEDCHART and maintain a valid authorization decision.
  • Develop and create a inventory of programs and tools to catalog all data in the existing facility and use the same tools post-migration to confirm data completeness in the target facility.
  • Facilitate data and code movement from the existing facility to the target facility.
  • Conduct full regression testing to confirm that all functionality is operational in the new facility.
  • Strong grasp of cloud networking architectures, cloud-native security tools, and best practices.
  • Must have the ability to communicate accurate information

Qualifications

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or IT with a focus on Cloud Computing..
  • Minimum of 5 years in cloud architecture and migration
  • Certification: Candidate should have at minimum one of the following certifications in cloud computing tool use:
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certifications:
      • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professiona
      • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
      • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
    • Microsoft Azure Certifications:
      • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
      • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
      • Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Certifications:
      • Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect
      • Google Certified Professional Data Engineer
