Amyx is seeking an experienced Deputy Project Manager (Deputy PM) to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Account Management and Provisioning System (AMPS) project. This program operates in a sustainment phase on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and supports over 200K users with a large, complex environment that integrates with multiple DLA enterprise systems. Project also consists of support for SAP and Separation of duties. The Deputy PM will work closely with the Project Manager to oversee daily operations, coordinate cross-functional technical teams, ensure contract compliance, and deliver high-quality results to both government and corporate stakeholders.

• Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day program execution, risk management, and reporting.
• Translate technical details from staff into clear updates for government stakeholders and corporate leadership.
• Ensure alignment of technical sustainment activities with program objectives and customer expectations.
• Support cross-functional sustainment teams (help desk, development, operations, and infrastructure).
• Track, manage, and deliver all contractual deliverables, ensuring timeliness and quality.
•  Coordinate with the SAP support team for integration touchpoints and dependencies.
  
• Act as a key point of contact for customer communication in the PM’s absence.
•  Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and briefings for government and internal leadership.
• Ensure all communications meet contractual and professional standards.
• Support Agile processes, sprint planning, and backlog management.
• Monitor and manage tasks using Jira and other program management tools.
  
• Help optimize sustainment workflows and drive process improvements.
  
• Foster a collaborative environment with cross-functional technical teams.
  
• Support a fast-paced sustainment program requiring proactive problem-solving and adaptability.
• Must have the ability to communicate accurate information

Required:

• Five (5) years project management or other relevant experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in the IT and/or consulting fields.
  
• Five (5) years of leadership experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in the IT and/or consulting fields.
  
• Active DoD Clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain).
• Experience supporting Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) or other DoD IT programs.
• Experience supporting large-scale IT sustainment programs.
• Strong technical understanding across multiple domains: infrastructure, Oracle Cloud, databases, middleware, networks, and application development.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively between technical staff and non-technical leadership.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira.
• Experience managing deliverables for both government customers and corporate leadership.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and presentation skills.

Desired:

• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and SAP systems.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certification.
• Prior experience as a Deputy PM, Technical Lead, or Sustainment Manager.
