Amyx, Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator to be located in Falls Church, VA to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA). The DHA is responsible for the effective execution and operation of the Department of Defense's (DoD) medical mission, which is to provide medical services and support to specified categories of individuals entitled to DoD medical care. The DHA provides medical care for the DoD’s 9.6 million eligible beneficiaries is provided through the defense health program which includes contracted health care networks and military treatment facilities.
To qualify, a candidate must possess:
Contractor shall assist ongoing government efforts and initiatives related to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) objective of developing and maintaining high-performing Deputy Assistant Director, Acquisition and Sustainment (DAD A&S) programs and projects across the Agency and Military Health System (MHS.)
• Provide direct support to the DAD A&S Front Office, Chief of Staff, and other DAD A&S leaders and programs.
• Communication and Coordination: Facilitate communication among project team members, stakeholders, and leadership. Organize and schedule project meetings, prepare agendas and coordinate read ahead as appropriate. Function as a point of contact for project-related inquiries. Ensure project information is readily accessible to all stakeholders via SharePoint or Teams. Manage correspondence as necessary in support of projects and monitor task completion and follow up with team members to ensure deadlines are met.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve project management processes and efficiency. Contribute to the development of project management best practices, to include improving organization’s SharePoint and Teams footprint and staff utilization of these tools. Assist with organizing project files, documentation, and action items.
• Monitor and track the Electronic Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) actions to ensure timely completion and final close-out of action.
• Support various DAD A&S project integration meetings, and Ad Hoc projects.
• Assist with Defense Travel System (DTS) and SharePoint needs.
• Monitor and perform detailed analyses of program progress and utilization of varying resources.
• Apply extensive knowledge of different functional domains and program planning, evaluation, and analysis techniques.
• Present, analyze and verify data, techniques, methodologies and formats associated with DAD A&S level activities.
• Apply a wide range of project management principles and theories to project performance and operating characteristics.
• Plan and execute project assignments that entail a variety of complicating and interacting factors, relationships with other specialties in developing and sustaining DAD A&S programs and projects.
• Ensure correctness and adherence to DoD's and DHA's standards, policies, and procedures.
• Extend/observe military protocol.
• Other duties as assigned.
Integrative Acquisition Environment; Electronic Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2); SharePoint; Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Suite of Applications including Word, Excel, Power Point Outlook, and Projects as well as with Adobe Acrobat.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of the DoD Acquisition Policies and Procedures (i.e., DoD 5000 series) and requirements and goals.
• Extensive knowledge of project coordination activities.
• Knowledge of the task management system, Electronic Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2), or similar DoD task management systems.
• Ability to effectively monitor and perform detailed analyses of DAD A&S project towards a defined goal.
• Ability to apply extensive knowledge of different functional domains related to the DAD A&S programs and projects through program planning, evaluation, and analysis techniques.
• Ability to collect, analyze, verify, and present data on DAD A&S project coordination, management and development.
• Ability to generate and provide reports to leadership on all aspects of DAD A&S projects to ensure objectives are met.
• Ability to plan, analyze, and review major elements associated with the DHA DAD A&S programs and projects.
• Ability to apply a wide range of program management principles and theories to project performance and operating characteristics.
• Ability to plan and execute project assignments that entail a variety of complicating and interacting factors, relationships with other specialties in developing and sustaining DHA DAD A&S projects and functions.
• Proficient in use of SharePoint, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
Prior DoD, Military, or DHA experience as Program or Project Coordinator for senior leaders. Acquisition related experience is beneficial.
